Mother's Day

First I would like to wish all the mothers a very happy mother's day! You are all truly special!

I didn't blog yesterday. I overate and just didn't feel like writing about it. I had 2 pieces of pizza with extra cheese and 3 buffalow wings from T&C. They have the best wings. Then I had a chocolate dipped ice cream cone. So many points. But today is a new day and I just have to keep looking forward.

It was a wonderful day today. Kids got me bangle bracelets and a locket. They were so cute. As soon as I got out of bed they were all over JP to get the gifts so they could give it to me. Then we took them bike riding and B learned to ride his bike with no training wheels! I am so proud of him! It took a lot of work and determination from him and now he is on his way to being a pro, lol. We even bought him a new bike from Walmart. He had such a proud look when he was able to ride the new "big boy" bike.

Ok. I left this for a while because there is a family emergency. All the kids are fine. We are ok. No worries there. Very private matter. I may be a few days before I post again.

Friday the Thirteenth

Ok. It's not really friday the thirteenth. But it is my thirteenth day on WW. Almost 2 weeks. Had a really good day today. Did some laundry and put it on the clothesline. Went grocery shopping for tonight's dinner. Made cookies. My BFF came over (love you, M!).  Pretty easy going day.

I made tonight's dinner from a WW recipe. Herb stuffed shells with sauce made from fresh tomatoes. (or is it tomatos? Ok, spell check says add the e). It came out so yummy. I was very proud of myself (I'm not into cooking, in case you didn't know), although I had to make them not fat free because of hubby.    Then I made some chocolate chip meringue cookies. Those are ok. Not as good as mom's tho. Oh well, I will have to keep trying.

So now it is getting pretty late, well for me anyway. Feel like an old fart sometimes going to bed by 10. But I'm up early and kids keep me active. Tomorrow it's off to sign B up for softball. Or baseball. Or whatever it is for 7yr olds. Maybe they will have a league for C too. Not sure if they do it that young. Guess we will find out.

Breakfast: special k cereal w/fruit and yogurt. cut up banana in cereal
Lunch: leftover cold drumsticks (yes, cold) and wax beans
Dinner: stuffed shells
Snack: strawberries, 2 meringue cookies, skinny cow

I just want to mention (possibly again, my memory sucks) that my snacks are spread out during the day. I just list them in one place because it is easier that way.

So now kids are in bed and I am heading there too.

Good Night!

Day 12

It was an easy day today. Did some light grocery shopping with some help from C. "mommy can i have (fill in blank here), mommy i want ____, mommymommymommy". But he was so proud of himself for taking a case of soda off the shelf and putting it in bottom of cart all by himself. It was so very cute. Then it was home for the whole afternoon. I had to leave at dinner time for the SGC meeting at the school. I have to go over all the paperwork, but I think it was a good meeting. More confused than ever but at the same time I am a little more educated. One step at a time.

No big temptations today, except those monsterous cookies at my meeting. OMG they were so big and yummy looking. All kinds of grinders too. Even chicken caesar salad, which is very high in points so thank goodness I don't like salad. It looked good tho. I had a turkey and cheese grinder with just a little mayo. Healthiest choice there and lowest in points. Well maybe the salad is healthier but like I said, I don't like salad. I know it's weird but oh well. I hate raw veggies and that's what salad is.

Breakfast: waffles
Lunch: turkey sandwich on whole grain and veggie sticks
Dinner: the turkey grinder i mentioned
Snack: strawberries w/sugar (just enough to bring out the juices), skinny cow

So as not to confuse anyone since I said I don't like raw veggies; veggie sticks are not actual veggies in stick form. They are S&S brand all natural chips that is supposed to be made from vegetables. Somehow I doubt that. But I portioned them all out in bags and now when I have my sandwich they will be all ready for me. I have to have chips with my sandwich. Unless I have soup. But I can't have just a sandwich. Another weird thing about me.

So now the kiddos are in bed and I am heading there soon. My cat is already meowing at me to hurry. She gets impatient sometimes. Fits right in with the rest of the crazy family.

Good Night!

Day 11

I had a bad food day today. You would think that being home would be less stressful, but it is more tempting. I had some serious snacks today. Mom came to visit C today. She can drive anyone back to their drug of choice. Mine just happens to be food. Don't get me wrong. I love mom very much. She is a wonderful person. But  you need a lot of patience and I had none today.

We went to drop off stuff at Savers. Love that store. Going this weekend to see if they have any Dean Koontz books. Anyway, I'm getting off track. I do that a lot. After Savers, we went to Pralines for some ice cream. Had it been Friendly's I could have resisted. But Pralines is awesome. I just can't turn down a raspberry swirl with shots. But I had a kiddie cone. That's gotta count for something, right? Then it was the eye doctor for B. Over a half hour just waiting to be seen. I was very irritated. All is well and we don't go back until March. Then it was off to Campout for Reading at school. It was fun, not a lot of people. Book fair was open. B spent all his money on books. He even got a diary. So cute. Oh, and they served smores. Ooohhhh they were sooo good! All that chocolatey, marshmallowy goodness. Even you couldn't resist.

So now I am home, just put kids in bed. Now to settle them down enough to sleep. Oh, my food day. Not sure I want to list everything. I went over my DP, but still have WP left. Maybe I will wii fit tomorrow. I just have to remember to do it.

Breakfast: waffles (no bananas left)
Lunch: rice w/ss sauce and an egg roll (different one than last night's)
Dinner: shake & bake drumstick, rice pilaf, wax beans
Snack: ice cream cone, smores

Well not that it's listed, doesn't seem so bad. Still feel like I overdid it tho. Going shopping tomorrow so I will have fruit again. Goes too quick in this house. Guess that's a good thing.

Good Night!

Day 10

Ok first, I am going to start changing the title of my blogs. Getting tired of  just the number of days I'm dieting. Oops. The start of my lifestyle change.

C had surgery today. Ear tubes removed and his tongue clipped. He did very well until we got to the pre op room. Then he kept saying he didn't want his ear tubes removed. He was getting nervous. CCMC is a very good hospital tho. The nurses were very nice and helpful. He drove a battery operated car into the operating room. Then he had to breathe into the mask and blow up the balloon. He liked doing that. It was very freaky, tho, because when he fell asleep his eyes were still wide open. I hate watching my kids get put to sleep anyway, but this was awful!  After it was done and he woke up, he would not stop screaming and crying until we were on our way out. The nurse was actually rushing to get us out! Poor baby. He kept saying his tongue hurt underneath. He was given fentanyl while he was sleeping, morphine and tylenol before we left and he was still in a lot of pain. When we got home and he started to feel better, he asked "mommy! what happened to the line under my tongue?!"  He was so very grouchy all day. Everything made him so mad! And whiny! OMG was he whiny. But i felt so bad for him.

So I haven't really had time to think about food today. (Well, at least not obsess about it). We left the house about 6:30 this morning. Dropped of B at M's house. (Thank you!!!) Got home about noonish and then catered to my boy. Now I have free time and those egg rolls are looking mighty good! I may actually use some WP for one. Yes, they are that good.

Breakfast: waffle and banana
Lunch: spanish rice (M's are without a doubt the best!)
Dinner: chinese food (i know what you're thinking but i got the healthy selection). steamed seafood and veggies with white rice and ss sauce. yum!
Snack: skinny cow (and possibly an egg roll)

So once in a while I have to give in to a craving, and tonight it seems to be that damn egg roll. See how I obsess? Screw it. I had a tough day too.

So now it is the end of the day and kids are watching the premiere of the new looney tunes. Gotta love how the old stuff comes back around.

Good night!

Day 9

Woke up early today. Cleaned up the house before work. Dusted, vacuumed, dishes. I think it was nervous energy about tomorrow. C has his surgery tomorrow. Very minor, but he does have to be put to sleep. I hate to watch that. I cry every time one of my kids gets put to sleep. It justs scares me. Anyway, he is having his ear tubes removed and the underneath of his tongue clipped. Poor kid. But the thing under his tongue connects to the tip so it pulls back and it looks like his tonge is heart shaped. Kinda cute but not so good as he grows. This will improve tongue mobility and possibly speech. Although I think he talks perfectly fine for a kid that is not even 5.   (hold on..got a 7 y rold reading to me...)

So my day was good but long. Not a lot of patience and in my job either you have the patience or you fake it. Not much room for leeway there. So now I am home and having the urge to gorge myself on Easter candy, so instead I am blogging. And listening to parts of Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Rodrick Rules being read out loud and laughing appropriately. Now I have to deal with bedtime. How I miss those little candy shelled covered chocolate eggs.

Breakfast: waffle and banana
Lunch: spanish rice (thank you M!! it was delicious, as always! <3)
Dinner: fresh trout, peas, pasta with herbs
Snack: skinny cow (yet to come)

So now I say good night. And please send some good vibes for my C!

Week 2

So it is the start of week 2.  Not a bad day. Gorgeous weather. Kids played outside all morning. After lunch hubby took the kids fishing while I took pictures. That was a lot of fun. Actually got my first sunburn of the season. Very happy about that.

Going through something personal that is making me stress and want to eat. But I am overcoming the temptations. The zero points for fruit is what is saving me. Must have eaten half a container of grapes today alone. But it's better than candy.

Oh, I lost 3.8 pounds since Easter. Not bad for my first week. I am proud of the way I have been in control of my eating. Not an easy feat!

Breakfast: waffles and banana
Lunch: pasta w/pesto sauce
Dinner: steak, instant mashed potato, mexican corn
Snack: grapes, light yogurt, strawberries, skinny cow ice cream

The snacks are throughout the day. I don't want everyone thinking I eat all that at once. Although I probably can! I'm off to bed early tonight and I have a headache so I'm not writing much.

Good night!
